Gonzaga Preparatory and Primary School was honored to host a delegation of students and staff from St. Ignatius College, Lusaka, Zambia, as part of an enriching Jesuit education exchange program. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between Jesuit institutions, offering students a platform for academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and mutual learning.

The Zambian delegation included 19 students and four staff members, led by their college president, Father Relly Michello, S.J. Upon arrival, they were warmly received by Paschal Mmari, the Assistant Head Teacher of Gonzaga, who provided an orientation on the school’s mission, history, and daily activities.

During their stay, the visiting students engaged in classroom sessions, interacting with Gonzaga’s learners and gaining insights into Tanzania’s education system. A highlight of the visit was a cultural exchange program, where both Zambian and Tanzanian students showcased traditional dances, songs, and storytelling. This interaction deepened their appreciation of each other’s rich cultural heritage and Jesuit values of global solidarity and service.

The exchange program was a testament to the Jesuit commitment to holistic education, promoting not only academic excellence but also cross-cultural understanding and service. The visit concluded with a heartfelt farewell ceremony, where students and staff exchanged reflections, gifts, and hopes for future collaborations.
